How to Use a Microscope for Color Brightfield Specimens

How to set up a microscope for Kohler illumination so that specimen is at highest resolution and no artifacts degrade specimen appearance. Note that the attenuation of the light source is of vital importance when using tungsten-halogen lighting in regard to color temperature (and potential false coloring of images). With LED lighting, attenuation does not affect color temperature.
